IMEM brand submersible type distribution transformers are designed to be installed in a well or vault that can occasionally suffer flooding, so it must be dead front and with accessories to connect to underground distribution systems.

The submersible distribution transformers are commonly used in hospitals, historic sites, or where aesthetics and space part is paramount.

Building

The submersible type transformers are self-cooled in insulating liquid and are classified as ONAN type (natural oil-air cooling).

They are designed for outdoor service inside a well where there is a high degree of humidity, with saline environments and contamination by hydrocarbons, lead and ozone.

They are manufactured to operate at an altitude of 1000 or 23000 meters above sea level, with a temperature rise of 55 ° C, with an ambient temperature of the vault that does not exceed 50 ° C and the average temperature in a 24-hour period does not exceed 40 ° C, all this according to customer specifications.

They are built with armored cores of grain oriented silicon steel and high magnetic permeability, manufactured on unicore machines to achieve the lowest losses in vacuum.

The HV / LV coils are manufactured with electrolytic copper and / or aluminum conductors of low electrical resistance in various kinds of insulation according to your needs. The tanks are built with sheets of carbon steel or stainless steel, as required, and are subjected to a cleaning process by shot blasting white metal, application of zinc-rich primer, anticorrosive epoxy coating and high resistance polyurethane finish.

The insulating liquid is free of polychlorinated biphenyls of the naphthene type (NMX-J-123-ANCE).

Installation

IMEM brand submersible type distribution transformers are manufactured according to the following:

  • Single-phase pedestal type transformers, for connection in radial power systems or for connection in ring power systems.
  • From 25 kVA to 167 kVA
  • Three-phase pedestal type transformers, for connection in radial power systems or for connection in ring power systems.
  • From 30 kVA to 2500 kVA

Laboratory
